About the Role
This role is a senior position within the organisation responsible for the Project Delivery for all aspects of the Holidays Remediation programme for all former employees, RMO transfers and inter District transfers. This programme is responsible for the remediation of $2.2b in back payments to current and former employees since 1 May 2010 and is the largest remediation programme in the Southern Hemisphere. The Programme Manager is responsible for delivery of:
- Delivering on all aspects of the remediation payments for all former employees, RMO's and Inter District transferees
- Implement a system to identify where RMO's have worked since 1 July 2022 to enable the recalculation of payments for this group
- Implement a system to identify employees who have transferred between Districts since 1 July 2022 to enable the recalculation of payments to this group
- Be responsible for the delivery of the models, testing of the models and delivery of payments according to the agreed schedule
- Regular reporting on the achievement of milestones and progress to plan to the National Governance Group
- Be responsible for the Holidays Act budget, including overseeing the development accuracy and content of the reporting provided to National Governance Group.
- Attend meetings with NPMO, Treasury, Audit NZ and the Ministers Office as and when required.
About you
You bring proven experience as a Programme Manager overseeing the successful delivery of large, complex, multi-system projects, ideally involving HR or payroll systems within organisations of more than 2,500 employees. With 7–10 years' experience in large, complex environments, you are confident operating in situations that require strong judgement and robust programme oversight.
You have experience working with unions and navigating complex stakeholder environments. Your understanding of project management methodologies enables you to plan, execute and monitor programme deliverables, timelines and budgets effectively.
You are skilled at managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships, including Finance, Data and Digital, Human Resources, Legal, Procurement, unions and vendors, ensuring alignment and successful programme outcomes.
