Key responsibilities of this role include.

  • Assist with the preparation and execution of validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for equipment, processes, and cleaning systems.
  • Support data collection and documentation during validation activities, including compiling reports and tracking progress.
  • Participate in validation testing for equipment, cleaning (CIP/SIP), and manufacturing processes across the site.
  • Help maintain validation records in line with Synlait's Validation Master Plans (VMPs).
  • Coordinate with project teams and contractors to support validation timelines and activities.
  • Support assessments related to changes in equipment or process, ensuring validation requirements are considered.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of basic validation training or awareness for site teams.

Skills and Experience

We're seeking someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and keen to grow their technical skills in a highly regulated environment. You'll also bring:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, science, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience in dairy, ideally in infant formula or similar highly regulated industries is beneficial.
  • Previous experience or exposure in validation, process engineering or quality systems preferred.
  • Good written communication skills for report writing and documentation.
  • A collaborative, team-focused approach and willingness to learn from others.
  • Experience with Food Safety and HACCP systems is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of NZ Infant Formula Notice preferred.
  • Well-developed problem solving capability with strong organisational and planning skills.
