Te Mahi Tūranga | About the Role
As a result of a new contract under the Immunising Our Tamariki programme, an exciting fixed-term opportunity is available for an organised and proactive Immunisation Service Administrator to join us until 30 June 2026. In this role, you'll provide essential administrative and scheduling support that keeps our services running smoothly. Your mahi will directly improve access for whānau across our rohe and help to improve immunisation outcomes.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage referrals and maintain accurate client records across health information systems
- Prepare documentation, resources, and materials
- Support reporting, audits, stock monitoring, and service improvements
- Coordinate appointments, clinic schedules, staff calendars and automated reminders
- Respond to enquiries with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Liaise with whānau, schools, ECEs, and community partners
- Uphold confidentiality, privacy standards, and child safeguarding practices
- Report incidents, risks, and immunisation events as required
- Promote tikanga Māori while upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
Ōu Pūkenga | Your Strengths
You will have at least 2 years' experience in administration or scheduling and bring:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and health information systems (AIR, Whaihua, Exess)
- Strong organisation, time management, and prioritisation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Sound judgement with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information appropriately
- Familiarity with Kaupapa Māori approaches, Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga, and an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in health settings
- Current full driver's licence
