Rotorua Central, New Zealand Rotorua Lakes Council Full time NZ$100,000 - NZ$150,000 per year

Two Year Fixed-Term

Rotorua Lakes Council is looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead the development and delivery of our facilities capital renewal programme on a two-year fixed term. This pivotal role is responsible for identifying, planning, and executing a diverse range of facilities capital projects, including roof replacements, HVAC upgrades, seismic strengthening, structural refurbishments, and accessibility improvements.

You'll work closely with the Manager of the Facilities Services Unit, the Long-Term Planning Manager, internal teams, external contractors, and service lead agencies that rely on these facilities. Your focus will be on ensuring that agreed projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with our long-term Property Strategy.

We're seeking someone with at least ten years' experience managing large or complex civic works programmes, particularly in the facilities or infrastructure space. You'll hold a relevant tertiary qualification in architecture, structural engineering, business, or project management, and bring strong technical knowledge of construction contracts and refurbishment projects. Formal programme or project management certification such as MoP, MSP, Prince2, PMP or Agile is essential. You'll be confident in managing priorities based on risk, collaborating with colleagues, adhering to budgets, overseeing contract outcomes and supplier relationships, and monitoring and reporting on progress. You'll also have a proven ability to engage effectively with all those necessary for successful programme delivery.

If you're ready to lead meaningful work that enhances your career path and our community facilities, we'd love to hear from you.
