ProCare's GPEP Training Programme

Our innovative GPEP Training Programme is built around a supportive employment and training framework, offering wraparound assistance and training. The programme covers (GPEP) Year 2 and 3 registrars seeking secure permanent employment and a clear pathway through to fellowship.

Variety of Placement Options

  • Boutique
    practices offer personalized or specialized care.
  • VLCA & High-Needs
    practices focus on providing comprehensive and equitable services to our most vulnerable populations.
  • Combo GP/UC
    models blend general practice with urgent care for convenience and efficiency.
  • Integrated Health Services
    with IDT/MDT collaboration emphasize a team-based and interdisciplinary cooperation approach to patient care.
  • Specialist clinics
    address specific medical concerns, such as; skin cancers, sports injuries, or rest homes.
  • Additionally, pathways to
    partnership or ownership
    provide opportunities for GPEPs to take on a greater stake in the practice, aligning professional growth with patient care.

Requirements to join

  • Valid APC and RNZCGP Membership
  • Successful completion of the College GPEPY1 programme
  • Rights to Work in New Zealand.
  • Commitment to further educational development (post-grad papers, certificates, or diplomas).
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the implementation of equitable services to the Network.
