About the role: 

Reporting to Extrastaff as a civil operator, you'll play a key role in helping to build and maintain essential infrastructure.A civil operator operates heavy machinery on construction sites to assist with infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, and buildings. They play a crucial role in ensuring the job is done efficiently, safely, and according to plan.This position is a temporary role with full time hours and may have the potential for a permanent full time position.

This is a physically demanding role that offers both challenges and rewards, with the chance to grow in the construction industry.

Key Duties:

-Operate heavy machinery like excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.

-Perform excavation, grading, and leveling of land.

-Assist in road construction and infrastructure development.

-Follow blueprints and site plans to complete tasks.

-Ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site.

-Maintain and inspect equipment regularly.

-Collaborate with the construction team to meet project deadlines.

Skills and Experience:

-Experience operating heavy machinery like the following WTR, Class 2, Class 4, Bulldozer, Grader and loader, Excavator (GPS). Watercart and rollers..

-Knowledge of construction processes and safety regulations.

-Ability to read and understand blueprints and maps.

-Good communication and teamwork skills.

-Certification for operating certain machines (preferred but not always required)
