About the Role

Based at Timaru Hospital and working across several South Canterbury sites the Maintenance Fitter role is part of a team responsible for maintenance and repair, and installations of all Mechanical trade related plant, equipment, services and facilities within the department's responsibility area.

About you

This role will suit someone who can work as part of team and assist trade staff and contractors to delivery best practice services ensuring the plant and equipment is maintained and functions efficiently. Other attributes for this role includes:

  • A Trade Certificate in a related field - please refer to the job description for more details
  • Demonstrate knowledge and can comply with NZ laws that relates such as the building act and health and safety regulations.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Can work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Must have the right to work in New Zealand

Salary Range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the relevant Etu Maintenance Trades and Related Services Collective, and the Pay Scale, determined on relevant experience.
