About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Telecommunications Trades Assistant to join our team in Auckland. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in telecommunications — no previous experience or formal qualifications are required. You will work alongside qualified technicians and receive comprehensive on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist trades technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications network systems.
  • Help with tasks such as cable hauling, trenching, conduit laying, and equipment setup.
  • Prepare, clean, and maintain tools, materials, and vehicles for work.
  • Ensure all health and safety standards are followed at all times.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor or team leader.

Minimum Requirements:

  • No prior work experience or qualification required — training will be provided.
  • Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors in different weather conditions.
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain the following certifications:

o Working at Heights Certificate

o First Aid Certificate

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team.
  • A Full Driver's Licence is required

Employment Terms:

  • Pay rate: $25.50 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience and ability)
  • Hours of work: Minimum 30 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as required by business needs.
  • Location: Various sites across Auckland region.
