VIP Structural Steel is a locally owned and operated business specialising in the design, supply, fabrication and erection of structural steel for commercial and residential projects.

The role is dynamic and requires the operations of telehandlers, forklifts and trucks.

You would need to understand correct lifting and moving practices across a wide range of logistics.

VIP supports training, development and tickets to the right candidate with further opportunities within the wider group

We are looking for experienced Class 5 Truck Driver/Trailer Driver with the below attributes.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A clean and current Class 5 Licence

• Proven experience as a Class 5 Truck & Trailer Driver

• Experienced in driving different trucks, including those with Roadranger gearboxes

• Confident ability in loading/unloading and ensuring load security

• Exceptional level of Health and Safety

• Pride in their work and looking after their truck

• Experienced in transporting wide loads and holds a Class 2 pilot license

• Hiab experience (not essential but highly favourable)

• Steel construction industry experience (not essential but highly favourable)

• Ability to communicate clearly in English – oral and written.

• Forklift Certificate

Deliveries in Christchurch and within the South Island.

The successful applicant will be energetic and physically fit, have a good attitude, be motivated and work well in a hardworking team.

Applicants may be required to undertake pre-employment medical and drug testing.

Only applicants located in New Zealand that have current NZ working eligibility (NZ/AU Citizen, Permanent residency or a valid NZ work visa) will be considered.
