We're seeking a Senior Risk & Compliance Manager to join our Enterprise Operations Compliance & Risk team. In this pivotal role, you'll partner closely with our Financial Crime Operations business unit, providing thought leadership and constructive challenge to uplift our risk culture and resilience.
This is a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your expertise, judgement, and communication skills will be valued as you work with both internal stakeholders and external partners to drive positive outcomes for our customers and business.

As a Senior Risk & Compliance Manager, You Will
- Foster the development of an active risk culture in the business unit you partner with.
- Provide risk and compliance thought leadership and constructive challenge to the business unit or functional services you support.
- Support, coach, and enable the business' implementation of tools, processes, and methodologies for managing compliance and risk accountabilities.
- Maintain productive business partnerships across the business and with other audit, risk, and compliance stakeholders to actively promote operational risk and compliance management awareness, processes, and principles.
- Contribute to the delivery and execution of new risk and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Provide industry and business insight across key risk metrics.
- Represent Enterprise Operations on key risk and compliance-related working groups.
- Review and challenge existing and new AML/CFT systems, processes, and controls to ensure alignment with our risk mitigation objectives and regulatory requirements.
Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?
- 7+ years' experience in financial crime compliance, specifically in AML/CFT within the financial services sector or an adjacent regulatory agency.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant business field; ACAMS certification preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate and convey complex information to a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Confidence to challenge senior management independently and constructively.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify causal factors of issues and develop/influence effective mitigations in complex processing environments.
- Attention to detail, technical and analytical capability, and a collaborative approach focused on positive customer outcomes.
