Permanent Full Time Position

Due to our busy summer season, we're looking for another enthusiastic Ground Crew member to join our front-line team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping busy, being part of an exciting industry, and meeting people from all around the world — all while working with Queenstown's leading helicopter operator.

Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters is locally owned and has been operating since 1980, pioneering glacier landings. We pride ourselves on a truly professional service offered by a great team of people.

As Ground Crew, you'll also assist our team in the daily running of our helicopter operation encompassing all ground-based helicopter scenic and commercial activities. Tasks include, but are not limited to: driving courtesy coach; hosting/checking in clients; conducting safety briefings; helicopter loading. Other general house keeping tasks such as cleaning; mowing lawns and driving mini tankers are also to be expected, as well as any other jobs required in and around the hangar.

The ideal candidates will have:

  • a full and clean driver's license
  • outstanding customer service
  • a Dangerous Goods endorsement (preferable but not essential)
  • a legal right to live and work in New Zealand

No aviation experience required but professionalism, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to health and safety is essential. If you have a willingness to learn and develop, this is the role for you
