Milestone IT is partnering with a leading global organisation to recruit a motivated Level 1 IT Helpdesk Support professional to join their Auckland-based IT Head Office team. This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start or advance your IT support career within a world-class technology environment

About the Role

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for internal users, providing effective Level 1 technical support and exceptional customer service. You'll troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, escalate tickets as needed, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and service desk system
  • Troubleshoot issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Assist with account administration (Active Directory, O365 etc.)
  • Log, track, and resolve helpdesk tickets in a timely manner
  • Escalate complex issues to Level 2/3 support teams
  • Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to end-users
  • Support onboarding and basic IT setup for new employees

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ year experience in IT helpdesk or desktop support (preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with Windows OS, O365, Active Directory
  • Excellent communication & problem-solving ability
  • Motivated, reliable and eager to grow your IT career
  • Relevant IT qualification or certifications (bonus)
