Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrician - Project Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, project management, and team leadership. This role requires a professional who can balance the technical aspects of electrical work with the organisational demands of project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Coordination: Manage and oversee electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance on electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of electricians and apprentices, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the quality and safety of electrical work.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, schedules, and documentation related to project management and electrical work.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during project execution.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical work
- Certifications: Be registered with the EWRB & hold a current NZ Electrical Practicing License.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical systems, including installations and knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
