As part of the ANZCO Foods Group, The Local Butcher supplies the finest export quality beef, lamb and smallgoods to discerning home cooks, chefs, cafes and restaurants throughout the Marlborough region.
Due to increased demand, we are looking for a butcher or experienced knife hand for our Blenheim store This is a full time Monday to Friday role, working 40 hours per week, with rostered Saturday work. From time to time there will also be overtime. Duties will include taking orders, preparing meat (cutting, boning, trimming and slicing) and packing meat to our customers' requirements. This may include completing butchery tasks for the Wholesale/Food Service areas as well as the retail store.
We are a small and productive team, so we are looking for a proven team player with excellent interpersonal skills. You will have at least 3 years previous butchery experience. You will be well organised, able to manage a variable workload and have a proven work ethic as a reliable and hardworking team member.
