Flight Scheduler

The International Aviation Academy of NZ, a subsidiary business of the Canterbury Aero Club is looking for a motivated and inspiring Flight Scheduler to drive a team of professionals and you'll play a key role in driving safety while at the same time enjoying one of the BEST office views in Canterbury.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating the schedule for the Academy's students and Flight Instructors whilst liaising with the maintenance team for aircraft availability.

We are looking for proven leadership experience, a passion for people and new technology.  The ideal candidate would currently be working within the aviation sector and have previous scheduling experience to ensure the successful evolution of the Academy.

Position Requirements:

• A passion for aviation
• Ideally General Aviation or Airline experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated history of building relationships with internal and external customers
• Strong effective organisational skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with various cultures
• Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Proven multitasking and decision making skills
• Knowledge of flight scheduling software is a plus
• Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a calm demeanour

The role is based at Harewood Aviation Park, Christchurch International Airport and the hours of work are 07.30am – 04.00pm Monday - Friday.
