Qualified Processing Operator Nelson

Help turn marine goodness into world-class natural products.

Our client runs a modern natural-product extraction facility supplying premium ingredients to global customers. We're looking for a Qualified Processing Operator for our Nelson client.

What you'll do

  • Operate and monitor plant to SOPs/Manufacturing Instructions; keep accurate records.
  • Carry out cleaning, loading/unloading, packing, and materials movement.
  • Uphold safety and hygiene standards.
  • Support preventive maintenance and assist troubleshooting.
  • Pitch in on improvement projects and help train/cover for Shift Team Leader when qualified.

Roster

Rotating 12-hour shifts (mix of days and nights—e.g. 2 days / 2 nights / break). Shifts may change with notice or by agreement.

Must-haves

  • Demonstrated competency operating advanced extraction systems (e.g. supercritical extraction), via formal training or internal assessment. Successful candidates will complete internal training to gain competency on our supercritical extraction plant.
  • Hands-on food processing/production experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to follow SOPs.
  • Current Forklift (F) licence.

Nice to have: prior shift-work experience

Pay & benefits

$77,500 starting salary plus medical insurance.
