Are you a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician with experience on electric vehicles? This well respected franchise dealership group are looking to employ an experienced EV Technician to join their Auckland workshop - if that is you, please apply today

About the role and the requirements
As an EV Technician, you'll be part of a dynamic and inclusive team, working together to solve complex challenges and push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology.

Primarily reporting to the Service Manager and Workshop Foreman, you will also liaise with other staff in the aftersales department as part of your role.

You will perform servicing and general repairs as well as electrical diagnostic work on EVs.

  • Relevant automotive trade qualification
  • A primary requirement for this role is prior, proven experience on high voltage and electric vehicles
  • Formal EV / High Voltage training would be a bonus
  • Solid diagnostic experience and capability
  • Highly motivated and customer focused
  • A passion for the automotive industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player and good work ethic
  • Positive attitude
  • Clean drivers licence



In return
You will have access to state-of-the-art tools and diagnostic equipment as you will diagnose, repair, and maintain the intricate high voltage systems that power electric vehicles.

You will have access to ongoing training to further develop your skills enabling you to stay at the forefront of this rapidly evolving field.

Based on your level of EV experience, remuneration rates will vary between $35 and $40 per hour.

This is a full time, permanent role offering a minimum of 40 hours a week.
