Timaru Motors is looking for a motivated and experienced Parts Advisor to join our growing team. If you have a passion for customer service, strong organisational skills and enjoy working in a dynamic automotive environment, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Role:

As a Parts Advisor, you will be a key point of contact for our customers and internal teams, assisting with parts requirements across Retail, Trade and our workshop. You'll play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly by managing stock, processing orders and ensuring timely delivery. This position also offers the opportunity to broaden your skills, as you will be trained to assist and cover the Service Advisor role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Retail, Trade and internal workshop teams with their parts requirements
  • Unpack, receipt and dispatch daily freight efficiently and accurately
  • Inspect weekly stock orders for quality, potential damage and organise stock for dispatch or storage
  • Provide excellent customer service in-person, over the phone and via email
  • Maintain accurate records and stock levels, ensuring parts systems are up to date
  • Support the Service Advisor team as required, with full training provided

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in a parts or automotive role is preferred, but not essential
  • Confident communicator, both in person and over the phone or email
  • Computer literate, with an eye for detail and strong organisational skills
  • Reliable, well-presented and professional in all interactions
  • A team player who can also work independently when required

Training & Development:

We provide initial training and ongoing opportunities for professional development through the Ford and Mazda training programmes, ensuring you have the knowledge and support to succeed.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 5.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break
