What we are looking for:
A skilled tradesperson specializing in crafting & assembling wooden cabinetry and furniture.
They work with various materials such as solid wood, veneers, and laminates to create custom or production pieces for kitchens, bathrooms, offices, and other spaces. Core responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting materials accurately, and using hand tools, power tools, and machinery like saws and routers.
Precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of joinery techniques are essential. Cabinet makers often collaborate with clients, designers, and builders to meet specifications and ensure high-quality finishes. Key skills include woodworking, problem-solving, and familiarity with safety standards.
This role is a workshops position, requiring physical stamina, time management and a large commitment to HSE.
The successful applicant will have the following experience in:
- Cutting out on Beam Saws
- CNC machining, drilling, routing and programming
- Operating Edgebanders
- Help out sometimes on Assembly of some products
but must have:
- Ability to work well as a part of a team
- Can work independently when needed
- Initiative & good time management
- Communication skills
- Right to work, currently live in NZ
