Taylor Preston are one of Wellington's iconic manufacturers and exporters. We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator with a primary focus on managing the day to day purchasing of consumables, packaging, and ingredients to join our team.

As part of a high performing and self managing team, you will report to the Purchasing Manager, demonstrating your skills and experience in managing inventory, developing relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders. Some flexibility in working hours may be necessary to meet operational needs.

You are adept at assessing, managing and mitigating risks and you naturally monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing
    the day-to-day purchasing of packaging, ingredients and consumables
  • Managing
    inventory levels to ensure a timely supply to production areas
  • Generating
    purchase orders and ensuring orders are delivered on time
  • Reviewing
    and completing department orders
  • Ensure
    compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all purchasing
    activities
  • Flow
    of inventory between storage areas
  • Following
    up on supply issues with vendors when required
  • Work
    closely with the Purchasing Manager and Operation Managers to ensure a timely
    supply and sufficient management of supplies
