The Role

At Success Group Limited, we are seeking an experienced Earthmoving Machine Operator to join our team in Gisborne. As a full-time, permanent Earthmoving Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in our ongoing manufacturing and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operate a range of earthmoving equipment, including excavators, material handlers, forklifts and front-end loaders, to assist with construction and site preparation projects
  2. Perform regular maintenance and pre-operation checks on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  3. Follow all relevant safety protocols and procedures to protect yourself, your colleagues, and the equipment
  4. Work collaboratively with other team members to complete project tasks efficiently and to a high standard
  5. Maintain accurate records of equipment use, maintenance, and any issues or incidents

What We're Looking For

  1. Extensive experience (3+ years) operating a variety of earthmoving equipment in a commercial or industrial setting
  2. Demonstrated proficiency in the safe and effective operation of excavators, material handlers, forklifts and front-end loaders
  3. Familiarity with routine maintenance and pre-operation checks for earthmoving equipment
  4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address issues that may arise during operations
  5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
  6. Relevant licenses and certifications (minimum of class 4) beneficial for class 5, such as a Heavy Vehicle Driver's License and WorkSafe qualification
