The Opportunity

We have an excellent opportunity available for a motivated individual to step into a dynamic and varied role within the Waikato agricultural industry. In this position, no two days are the same, offering you a wide range of experiences and the chance to work across various aspects of the agricultural sector, focusing mainly on poultry.

We are looking for a motivated person with strong work ethic to join our team. Tractor and/or Skid-steer (bobcat) experience is an advantage. We are small friendly team who enjoy a bit of banter and work efficiently together.

Our team meet in central Matamata each day and drive to farm locations together in company vehicles.

The Role

This role includes driving and operating our tractor and skid-steer (bobcat) within poultry sheds and loading bulk trucks and spreaders. Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Operating tractor and equipment within poultry sheds
  • Communicate with sites' forepersons and teams efficiently
  • Work together as a team to complete other tasks such as raking sheds
  • Follow instructions regarding on-site health and safety requirements

About You

  • Tractor and/or Skid-steer experience is an advantage, but not a necessity. Training is provided.
  • Great communications skills, friendly and good at getting along with clients.
  • Organised, reliable and able to work productively without supervision.
  • Motivated and have a great attitude.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Have a full drivers license.

Licenses that are desirable but not a necessity

  • Wheel Track and Rollers license
  • Class 2 truck license
