HSE Specialist

OUR ROLE

Graymont, a global leader in lime and limestone solutions, is seeking a passionate and driven HSE Specialist based in Ōtorohanga and other New Zealand sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to enter the HSE space and assist the Lead HSE Specialist to drive improved performance, implement Graymont's health, safety, and environmental requirements, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Focus Areas The Role Will Include:

• Promote HSE initiatives for continuous improvement
• Empower teams through training, auditing, and risk management
• Serve as the site HSE expert for systems and process improvements
• Assist in incident reporting (ICAM) and corrective actions
• Support injury management and return-to-work programs
• Communicate with regulatory and community stakeholders
• Ability to work autonomously and influence others to achieve positive HSE outcomes.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications:

• Interest in workplace health, safety and environmental (qualification preferred, but not essential)
• Basic knowledge of regulations and safe practices
• Eager to assist in ICAM-led investigations; auditing and training
• Analytical, planning, and decision-making abilities; and excellent communication and influencing skills.
