IRONSTEIN CONSULTING LIMITED, trading as Nokin Finance, is a professional financial consultancy firm providing credit, lending, and investment advisory services. We are seeking an experienced and analytical Financial Risk Manager to oversee the company's risk management framework and ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's risk management policies and procedures.
  • Identify, analyse, and monitor financial, operational, and compliance risks across business activities.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and stress testing to evaluate exposure to credit, liquidity, and market risks.
  • Establish risk limits and control systems in line with company objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive risk reports for management and regulatory review.
  • Liaise with auditors, financial institutions, and regulators to ensure compliance with AML/CFT and FMA requirements.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve the company's financial resilience and risk governance.
  • Assist with staff training and promote a culture of compliance and sound risk management.

Skills and Experience Required

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; or at least five years of relevant experience in financial risk management, compliance, or related roles.
  • Solid understanding of risk modelling, financial analysis, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AML/CFT obligations and financial service licensing requirements in New Zealand.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Employment Details

  • Type: Permanent, full-time (minimum 30 hours per week)

  • Hourly Rate: $38 – $43 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)
