We're looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to keep control of our 1200 strong owned fleet of ewps and forklifts, along with customers assets.

This role is responsible for the management of the daily servicing and certification operations and organization, as well as monitoring and co ordinating the national hire/lease fleet maintenance and all contracts and compliance documentation.

Prime focus is placed on high levels of customer service, both internally and externally, efficient utilization of the technical team and workshop resources while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Duties include:

  • Ensuring the administration and reporting of fleet management is accurate and up to date
  • Controlling maintenance expenditure whilst ensuring proper levels of fleet maintenance.
  • Ensuring appropriate recovery of excess wear and tear and excess lease contract hours.
  • Improving efficiency, productivity and reducing our overall fleet maintenance costs.
  • Ensuring Forecast Repair Times (FRT) are met by our technical team and contractors carrying out servicing.
  • Reporting on key performance indicators to management and to customers monthly.

Position Requirements:

  • Workshop Management or relevant experience in materials handling or heavy machinery industries preferred
  • Business Management qualifications preferred
  • Experience in effectively managing staff to achieve times production
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Sound understanding of computer programs and systems (microsoft Excel and word) along with our own in house systems
