HVAC Technician

Chillcorp Air Conditioning And Refrigeration (part the Wallace Development Company group of companies) based in Havelock North, with projects across Hawke's Bay and the broader North Island are seeking an experienced Air-Conditioning Technician.

Although this is an autonomous role, you will be working alongside our General Manager and Lead HVAC Technician. The team is responsible for undertaking the delivery of planned and reactive service maintenance, installation and compliance of HVAC across a number of existing property contracts as well as new clients as they come on-board.

Key Responsibilities for this role:

• Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance and servicing as scheduled with existing clients.
• Repairs: Troubleshoot, and help repair faults, replacing components as necessary to restore functionality.
• Installation: work with a plan to install air-conditioning systems and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulations, codes and standards.
• Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues and solutions clearly and offering preventative maintenance advice.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations, codes and standards at all times.
• Team Work: Communicate and work with the team on a daily basis.

Skills & experience:

• Working with commercial air conditioning and ventilation systems installation, servicing and maintenance experience and knowledge of high wall and ducted systems
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Good mechanical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Physically capable and able lift heavy equipment when necessary.
