Reid & Twiname are looking for a friendly and dynamic Customer Service Representative to join our Christchurch office.

About Us

Reid & Twiname is a specialist importer and distributor in the Industrial, Transport and Engineering Supplies and Industrial, Marine and Outdoor textile sectors, with a reputation for high quality products and reliability.

About the Role

In this diverse and rewarding role you will be the first point of contact for our customers, responding to inquiries and processing orders across multiple channels – phone, email, and face-to-face. You will be able to effectively resolve customer issues in an efficient and timely manner and will build strong relationships with our clients through outbound calls, promote our latest products and sales, and take ownership of our showroom presentation, creating a positive and memorable first impression for visitors. The role requires initiative and a willingness to pitch in as required, helping with other tasks across the business, including picking, packing, and dispatching orders, as required.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, based in our Christchurch office.

What We're Looking For

To thrive in this role, you'll be customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service. Our ideal candidate will have a background in a trade environment and some technical understanding around interpreting drawings and reading specifications. Most importantly, we're seeking someone who is keen to contribute to our team's success, and who has:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to provide outstanding client service
  • Effective administrative skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective problem-solving skills to meet customer needs
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • A clean, full driver's license, forklift license, dangerous goods certification, and first aid certificate, or a willingness to obtain these
  • Sound general knowledge of OSH requirements and a commitment to safety
  • A high level of professionalism and is well-presented
