Role Overview

Esther is a signature dining and event destination within QT Hotels Auckland, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional Mediterranean menu. As a Senior Waiter, you'll be at the heart of delivering world-class service as an ultimate Daymaker.

This is a hands-on role where you'll lead by example on the floor, support the team during busy service periods, and contribute to the smooth delivery of both à la carte dining and event experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service across restaurant and event operations.
  • Act as a senior point of contact during service, supporting the team and resolving guest queries.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, product knowledge, and guest engagement.
  • Assist with event setups and service, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Monitor table flow, coordinate with kitchen and bar teams, and uphold safety and hygiene standards.
  • Support training and mentoring of junior team members.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in a premium or 5-star hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for guest experience.
  • Ability to work across varied shifts, including weekends and evenings.
  • LCQ or Managers Certificate (advantageous but not essential).
