We are currently looking for empathetic and passionate Support Workers to work within our specialist team. Our teams are our greatest asset, and we are committed to employing and training the best people. We are looking for energetic and motivated people to support people in their own home.

We are seeking Support Workers who are available to work below mentioned hours in Rolleston Christchurch,with our specialist client.

  • Monday -10pm-7am(Sleepover)
  • Wednesday- 7am-4pm
  • Thursday -10pm-7am(Wakeover)

What does a Specialist Support Worker do?

You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can vary, and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

  • Meal preparation
  • Community outings and integration
  • Giving medication
  • Personal cares (showering, toileting etc.)
  • Bowel management stage 3, Manual Handling and Hoist transfers
  • Full Drivers License and able to drive Van
  • Home management

What are we looking for?

  • Attitude - a desire to help and support others, achieving excellence in all you do
  • Previous healthcare or care-giving experience is desirable
  • Experienced with Spinal injury clients will be preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work alternative weekends.
  • Healthcare qualifications are advantageous
  • Most positions require a full NZ drivers' licence and your own reliable transport
