Speech Language Therapist

Permanent Full-time

This is a permanent full-time position to begin in January 2026. This role involves a varied caseload, working collaboratively with teachers, whanau, therapists and teacher aides to enhance the learning outcomes for our students.

Arohanui School is a large progressive special school based in West Auckland. We cater for students aged 5 to 21 years with intellectual and associated disabilities. Our students are educated in a range of settings, including a base school, satellite classes and our community-based centre for post-18-year-olds.  We offer a friendly, professional work environment and opportunities for professional growth.

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to learners with disabilities and their families and whanau
  • The ability to consult and set priorities while considering the needs of all stakeholders
  • The capacity to work within classrooms to establish effective practice and to meet both group and individual goals

  • The ability to work within a transdisciplinary team

  • The ability to take on board new learning
