Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor - Pukekohe New Zealand

At our Franklin Food facility we supply only the best products, therefore we are looking for a highly capable Maintenance Supervisor with experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) to join our existing team. Reporting to the Site Manager, in this hands on role, supervising a small team across two shifts. The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to the following:

• Developing a culture of Health and Safety and Food Safety and Quality in the engineering team.
• Driving loss elimination through reduction of breakdowns and improvement of plant reliability.
• Supporting capability growth of the Engineering team.
• Ownership of the CMMS (MEX).
• Providing engineering support to the manufacturing team.
• Engaging in proactive continuous improvement projects.
• Maintenance planning and delivery of the PM schedule.
• Organising and supervising key maintenance contractors.
• Primarily Monday – Friday dayshift.

To be successful in this position, you must possess the following:

• Mechanical trade qualifications and post-trade experience.
• Previous leadership experience.
• An understanding of maintenance work management practices in an FMCG facility.
• An understanding of Food Safety and Quality.
• An understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures (MEX).
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Effective and efficient problem-solving skills.
• Sheet metal fabrication, TIG welding and machining experience would be an advantage.
• Forklift, EWP and LVR certification would be advantageous.
• Show a great deal of initiative and strongly advocate of teamwork.
• Ability to work a range of shifts if needed.
