Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

Downer NZ is a leading provider of integrated services, and our Asphalt team in Auckland is no exception. We're looking for a motivated and experienced Asphalt Plant Foreman to lead the day-to-day operations of our asphalt, bitumen and emulsion facility. This is a hands-on leadership role where safety, quality and efficiency are key.

In this role, you will:

• Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the asphalt plant and associated equipment
• Ensure consistent product quality and availability to meet customer needs
• Lead and support your shift team, allocating tasks and promoting a positive culture
  Maintain accurate production records and contribute to continuous improvement

We're looking for someone with:

• Proven experience in asphalt plant operations
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Mechanical experience would be an advantage, but not essential
• A commitment to safety, health and environmental standards
• Analytical Thinker, able to identify and maximise improvement opportunities
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  Computer literacy and a customer focused "can-do" attitude
