We are looking for a Senior Chef or an up and coming Chef who is ready to step into a senior role. This role can be flexible with hours.

About Us:

Boho Cafe is a unique, dog-friendly suburban cafe in Awapuni, known for its delicious food and exceptional service. We've crafted a boho-inspired oasis where creativity, curiosity, and community collide.

What We're Looking For:

  • Passion for food and cooking
  • The ability to work regular rostered weekends (this is not negotiable - please do not apply if this is not for you)
  • Experience in café work
  • Ability to create contemporary dishes and twists on classic favourites
  • High standards of food quality and presentation
  • Familiarity with Food Control Plan (FCP)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Reliability, drive, and ability to work under pressure
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Flexibility and positive attitude

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce delicious food for our customers
  • Maintain high food safety standards
  • Ensure excellent presentation of dishes
  • Assist with stock control
  • Contribute to all aspects of service

Requirements:

  • New Zealand residency or valid NZ work visa
  • Availability for rostered shifts, including some early starts and weekends

You must have relevant experience with either

  • Cook-to-order and cabinet/deli style/catering food
  • Baking and cabinet / catering food
