Mō te Tūranga - About the role:

We're looking for a purpose-led leader to join our Community Banking team as a Regional Manager. This is a highly visible and influential role where you'll champion Westpac's commitment to supporting local communities, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and empowering your people to thrive.

Reporting to the Head of Community Banking North you'll lead a team of Bank Managers and frontline staff, spending most of your time actively coaching, connecting, and collaborating. You'll be the face of Westpac in your region — building trust, driving performance, and creating meaningful impact for the people and places we serve.

Your community-focused leadership will include:

  • Building a high-performance culture rooted in care, inclusion, and service
  • Partnering with local organisations, iwi, and community groups to strengthen regional relationships
  • Leading your team to deliver Best Customer Outcomes across all channels
  • Driving regional business plans aligned to national strategy and local needs
  • Championing innovation and digital solutions that improve lives and streamline service
  • Supporting capability development, retention, and succession planning
  • Ensuring compliance and proactively managing risk
  • Maximising regional sponsorships and community initiatives to deepen our local impact
