About the Role
Our Older Persons Physiotherapy Team are looking for an experienced and skilled Physiotherapist to join us as a Clinical Team Leader This exciting opportunity will see you providing leadership and professional development to a large team of approximately 16-17 Physiotherapists and Allied Health Assistants who are committed to providing exceptional quality of care to our patients.
The Clinical Team Leader is integral to our leadership team, working closely with our other Clinical Team Leaders, the Clinical Manager and Service Manager to lead and improve clinical services. A core component of this position will be contributing to daily operational planning and service improvement initiatives over the Older Persons cluster, as well as holding a clinical caseload within the Older Persons Team.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Provides professional and clinical leadership and support to staff within the cluster;
- Ensuring the day-to-day provision of a high-quality clinical service within the Older Persons and Older Persons Mental Health cluster
- Working closely with the leadership team and wider multidisciplinary colleagues to identity and implement service improvement initiatives;
- Maintaining a designated clinical case load in Older Persons;
- Supporting and fostering the development of our Physiotherapy team members;
- Assisting the Allied Health Clinical Manager/Service Manager with the development, provision and monitoring of quality cost-effective clinical services.
About You
- Demonstrated clinical excellence (a minimum of 5 years' experience post-qualification is desirable) and a keen interest in Older Persons Health;
- Previous experience in leading a team and/or project management is highly desirable;
- Sound working knowledge of local, national and international health systems is strongly desired;
- Experience in training and supervision of staff with the ability to foster and support the development of a team both collectively and on an individual basis Is advantageous;
- An interest in quality and service provision;
- Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of NZ and current APC is essential
