The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design, documentation, and delivery of mechanical and hydraulic systems across a wide range of commercial, healthcare, civic, and education projects. You'll be involved from concept through to construction support, working closely with in-house hydraulic, electrical, fire, and ESD engineers as part of a cohesive, multi-disciplinary team. You'll also engage with clients, contractors, and architects to ensure effective and coordinated project delivery.

About You

You're a detail-driven and collaborative mechanical engineer with experience in New Zealand's building services sector. You take ownership of your designs and enjoy working on varied and technically challenging projects.

You will have:

  • A BE (Mechanical) or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • 3+ years' experience in building services design (NZ consultancy preferred)
  • Proficiency in HVAC and mechanical system design
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems and services coordination
  • Working knowledge of NZ Building Code and relevant AS/NZS standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with ESD, low-carbon HVAC systems, or hydraulic design is a bonus
