Manage My Health is New Zealand's leading digital health platform, empowering patients and providers with secure, compliant, and innovative technology solutions. We are embarking on an AI-driven transformation of our Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to enhance productivity, accelerate delivery, and ensure regulatory compliance across the healthcare sector.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Solutions Consultant with expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models (LLMs). The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating, architecting, and implementing AI-powered solutions that streamline requirements management, software engineering, testing, release management, and compliance workflows. Healthcare experience is a strong advantage but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct AI solution design, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and pilots across SDLC phases.
  • Perform comparative analysis and vendor assessments of cloud AI platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI).
  • Architect and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks, workflow automation, and model fine-tuning for healthcare use cases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, product, compliance) to ensure AI adoption aligns with ISO, HIPAA, and NZ Privacy Act 2020 standards.
  • Support development of governance frameworks, AI usage policies, and training assets.
  • Deliver technical documentation, runbooks, and performance benchmarks.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years' experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, or applied AI consulting.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG architectures, and workflow automation platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud platforms and MLOps best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Healthcare technology / digital health domain expertise (bonus).
Contract Details
  • Initial 3–6 month contract with potential extension.
