If you love fixing things and working in the outdoors, then we have a role for you to work as our Maintenance and Grounds Worker based in Otahuhu with no two days being the same. This is a full-time permanent role.

Mō te tūnga | About the role

The successful applicant should possess skills and hands on experience of general property maintenance and grounds keeping. Our facilities include a diverse mix of offices, residential homes and historic buildings. This varied role also involves supporting activities including deliveries, so our desired candidate needs to demonstrate excellent communication skills and a 'can do' attitude.

Mōu | About you

To be successful in this role, you will need

  • Someone who has previously worked in a similar role.
  • Mechanically minded, to be able to rectify any issues with the machinery you will be operating.
  • General property maintenance and repair skills like painting and building repairs.
  • Lawn and garden maintenance to a neat and tidy standard including spraying, weeding and lawn mowing.
  • Good level of physical fitness
  • Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
  • A passion for helping others and going the extra mile
  • Full New Zealand driver's license
