Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Senior Java MuleSoft Developer
with strong integration expertise to design, develop, and deliver robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with
MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
, strong
core Java
skills, and proven ability to build APIs and integrations following best practices, architectural standards, and CI/CD principles.

Key Responsibilities
MuleSoft Integration & API Development

  • Design, develop, and implement integrations using
    Mule 4
    and
    Anypoint Platform
    .
  • Build
    API-led connectivity
    solutions across Experience, Process, and System layers.
  • Develop RAML specifications using
    Anypoint Design Center
    .
  • Implement advanced MuleSoft components: DataWeave transformations, Mule connectors, flows, subflows, error handling, API policies, and custom modules.
  • Develop and manage API proxies and apply security policies using
    API Manager
    .
  • Build reusable integration assets, frameworks, and accelerators.

Core Java Development

  • Develop high-quality, efficient Java code for system components, helpers, and integration logic.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize Java-based microservices and integration components.
  • Work with Spring, Spring Boot, and REST API development where applicable.

Integration Architecture & Delivery

  • Work with Solution Architects to design integration patterns and end-to-end flows.
  • Implement complex transformations, mappings, and orchestration logic.
  • Integrate with databases, message queues, SAAS applications, on-prem systems, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions using Splunk, CloudWatch, ELK, or similar.

DevOps & CI/CD

  • Manage Mule applications through
    Anypoint Runtime Manager
    , CloudHub, Hybrid Deployment, or Runtime Fabric (RTF).
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or GitLab.
  • Package and deploy Mule applications using best practices.

Quality & Documentation

  • Perform unit testing using MUnit and assist QA teams with integration testing.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation: integration flows, sequence diagrams, API specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards and security practices are followed.

Required Skills & Experience
MuleSoft Expertise

  • 3+ years hands-on MuleSoft development (Mule 4 preferred).
  • Strong experience with
    Anypoint Studio
    ,
    DataWeave
    ,
    API Manager
    ,
    Runtime Manager
    ,
    Exchange
    , and connectors.
  • Experience with CloudHub, API Gateway, RTF, or hybrid deployments.
  • Strong knowledge of API security: OAuth, JWT, SAML, Basic Auth, TLS/Certificates.

Java Expertise

  • 5–8 years of strong
    Core Java
    development experience.
  • Experience with Spring Framework, RESTful services, microservices, and Maven/Gradle.
  • Strong debugging and performance-tuning skills.

Integration & Cloud Skills

  • Experience with integration patterns: messaging, transformation, orchestration, mediation.
  • Knowledge of JMS, Kafka, or other messaging systems.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP integrations (nice to have).

DevOps & Testing

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or GitLab).
  • Experience with MUnit for unit and integration testing.
  • Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and debugging skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
