We are seeking an enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team ASAP at Hamilton East Dental Centre in Hamilton. This full-time position offers a great opportunity to work within a hardworking and friendly team, where you will play a key role in supporting the dentist during treatments, ensuring the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently, and helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and well cared for.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting dentists during procedures by passing instruments, mixing materials, and ensuring the dental operatory is properly equipped and sanitised
  • Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
  • Greeting and welcoming patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit
  • Supporting the broader administrative tasks of the dental practice as needed

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant (minimum one year) is preferred; however, we are also happy to train a motivated candidate with no prior experience who is willing to learn.
  • Available to work Monday - Friday.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, dentists, and the wider practice team.
  • A Team Player
  • Good organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to use dental practice software - EXACT.
