In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our claims processing and debt management — key functions that keep our nationwide healthcare network running smoothly.

About the Role
Reporting to the Central Processing Unit Manager, the CPU Administrator is a key member of our finance and administration team. You will provide a high-quality professional service that contributes to effective claiming and debt management for the Tāmaki Health group.
This role involves accuracy, collaboration, and a strong customer service focus — ensuring our clinics and external partners receive timely and efficient financial support.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and correct patient invoices to align with encounter details
- Prepare and submit accurate claim schedules to ACC and the Ministry of Health
- Reconcile returns and payments for ACC, MoH, and other programmes (including Maternity, Immunisation, and Primary Options)
- Manage debt collection and communication with third parties and accredited employers
- Process remittances, bank reconciliations, and end-of-month financial schedules
- Maintain strict adherence to deadlines and quality standards
- Provide proactive, professional support to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold Tāmaki Health's values
You Will Need to Have
- Previous experience in administrative, accounts, or clerical roles
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiarity with MedTech systems and the ACC Act (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, strong organisational ability, and confidence managing multiple priorities
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- A professional, reliable, and team-oriented approach
- Commitment to health equity and cultural competency, with an understanding of Māori tikanga, kawa, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
