What You'll Be Doing

As our go-to QS/Estimator hero, you will:

  • Assist the team with responding to new project leads and assessing scope.
  • Maintaining CRM records to track leads, quotes, and outcomes for reporting and improvement.
  • Support the team during site visits as required, assisting with measurements, assessments, and gathering project details for accurate quoting.
  • Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates and quantity surveys that keep our projects on track.
  • Analyse plans, specs, and project docs to identify and quantify materials, labour, and equipment.
  • Research suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing without compromising quality.
  • Supporting handover to delivery teams with accurate cost breakdowns and documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and stakeholders to ensure every estimate aligns with project goals.
  • Maintaining and updating pricing libraries for materials, labour, and subcontractors.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency across the business.
  • Provide regular cost reporting and forecasting to the management team.
  • Maintain meticulous records to support project costing and invoicing.

What We're Looking For

We're after a practical, commercially minded QS/Estimator who takes pride in accuracy, communicates with confidence, owns their work, and is always looking for smarter, better ways to do things. You'll be someone who can confidently manage the front end of projects, driving the tender phase, while collaborating with the wider team to ensure smooth delivery.

  • Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a QS or Estimator in maintenance, renovation, or construction.
  • A good understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost drivers.
  • Proficiency with estimating and take-off software.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of construction standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • A proactive, solution-focused attitude, comfortable working independently and within a team.
