About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Auckland Head Office. This key role provides technically excellent and commercially robust estimating services, driving digital transformation within the estimating function and aligning with Thermosash's Group strategy. You'll lead and develop the estimating team, enhance accuracy and efficiency through digital tools, and support major projects across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the digital transformation of estimating platforms, tools, and processes.

Deliver accurate, first-principles cost estimates for bespoke façade and building envelope projects.

Manage tender preparation, bid submission, and commercial evaluations.

Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.

Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the estimating team.

Collaborate with design, procurement, and project delivery teams to ensure consistency and quality.

Identify and mitigate project risks while promoting continuous improvement and innovation.

What You'll Bring

Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (NZQA Level 6–7 or above).

Proven experience in estimating within the commercial construction or façade sector.

Strong understanding of New Zealand building and contract standards (NZS 3910, Construction Contracts Act 2002).

Advanced skills in digital estimating tools and first-principles pricing.

Excellent leadership, planning, and communication abilities.

Membership (or eligibility) with NZIQS or RICS is desirable.
