We are looking for an experienced Manager or Associate Director to join our Hamilton based team. You will be an experienced tax professional wanting to take the next step in your career with a leading brand.As a Manager / Associate Director, you will enjoy leading others and supporting them to make an impact that matters. You will set the direction to deliver exceptional client service. You will demonstrate strong tax technical skills and a hands-on approach to ensure our practice development, with the opportunity to make a real contribution to the success of our Hamilton team. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients ranging in size and covering a broad range of SME and corporate tax issues. Our Hamilton office sits on the banks of the Waikato River so you can enjoy both a scenic outlook and the opportunities from working in a vibrant city and the growing Waikato region. In Hamilton the clients we help include small to medium-sized enterprises, high net worth individuals and family groups, large multi-national companies and agricultural businesses. Job Description You will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:Helping clients mitigate risk, meet compliance obligations and statutory deadlines and realise business goalsAdvising on a wide range of business tax matters from compliance to planningPreparing /reviewing income tax provisions for the purpose of reporting in financial statementsAssisting clients in the resolution of tax disputes. Applying knowledge of current and pending tax legislation.Delivering exceptional client service; maximising results and driving high performance from people while fostering collaboration.Acting as a role model and recognising others for the impact they make.Developing high-performing people and team through challenging and meaningful opportunities.Influencing clients, teams, and individuals positively, leading by example and establishing confident relationships.Improving work efficiency, effectiveness and client service by using common technology tools. Qualifications Enough about us, let's talk about you. You are someone with:7 years+ work experience in a tax compliance and advisory environment.A professional qualification in accounting.A strong understanding of end-to-end tax processes & the NZ tax environment.Excellent team player and proven leadership and management skills.Results driven & client oriented.Ability to demonstrate management flair, drive and identify business development opportunities.A drive to develop people and grow their career.
