Details of the job:

Full Time Permanent Position with minimum 35 hours weekly.

Job Duties:

· Measure and cuts the fabric into required sixes using electronic cutting machine.

· Able to read and understand measuring tape and or measuring rulers.

· Positions template or measures material to locate specified point of cut or to obtain maximum yield, using rule, scale, or pattern.

· Able to note down the measurements correctly while processing orders.

· Reads work order to determine dimensions, cutting locations, and quantity to cut.

· Unrolls, lays out, material or item on cutting table.

· Separates materials or products according to order requests.

· Stacks cut multiple layers of fabric at once.

· Operates power sewing machines to sew, alter or repair wearing apparel, and other fabric articles.

· Alters article according to alteration ticket, fitter's pins, chalk marks, or verbal instructions.

· Able to identify colors and designs according to orders received.

· May operate automatic sewing machines, utilizing knowledge of threading machines, winding bobbins, adjusting tension, and oiling parts.

Knowledge, skills, competencies

· Sewing skills

· Good vision and hand-eye coordination

· Ability to concentrate on fine details and repetitious tasks for long periods

· Ability to work alone as well as in a team

· An awareness of safe operating procedures

· Basic measuring and calculating skills and/or pattern reading skills

· Good communication skills required

· Ability to use specification sheets, drawings, work instructions

· Detail oriented and able to maintain high accuracy standards.
