About the opportunity:

We are looking for an ambitious lawyer (3PQE+) to join our Construction team based in Ōtautahi Christchurch. This is a fantastic position which will see you working alongside highly skilled and experienced lawyers and with some exciting and iconic New Zealand businesses, local government and not-for-profit clients across a broad range of work. You'll learn to tackle a variety of matters with the support of senior members of the team and you'll be well supported in developing the skills required to be a key part of shaping the growing practice.

What we are looking for:

The successful applicant will have a true desire to focus their career in the area of construction law, and will display the following skills and attributes:

  • Front-end construction experience would be preferable, but a solid foundation in commercial property or residential property would also be advantageous.
  • Personable, with well-developed communication skills.
  • Technically excellent and ideally having completed corporate and commercial law papers during their University studies.
  • Comfortable working in a high energy environment with the ability to think on their feet.
  • A curious mindset and willingness to be a continual learner.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • A flair for teamwork and collaboration.
