Line Chef – Christchurch Gondola
Location: Christchurch Gondola, Heathcote Valley.
Employment Type: Fixed Term (November 2025 to March 20260.
Hours: Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00am – 4:30pm (additional hours may be required and will be discussed).
Start Date: Mid November.
Join our friendly and professional team at the Christchurch Gondola, one of the city's most iconic attractions. We're looking for an experienced and motivated Line Chef to help deliver exceptional dining experiences in our Pinnacle Bar, where guests enjoy quality food with some of the best views in Canterbury.
About the Role:
As a Line Chef, you'll be an integral part of our kitchen team — preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes while maintaining excellent standards of food safety and hygiene. You'll work closely with the Head Chef and wider team to ensure efficient service and a consistent guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard and within service timeframes
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
- Assist with stock rotation and ordering
- Uphold food safety and hygiene practices
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth daily operations
About You:
- Previous experience as a Line Chef, Cook, or similar role in a busy kitchen
- Passion for delivering great food and maintaining high standards
- Team-oriented, reliable, and proactive under pressure
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Flexible and available to work weekends and public holidays as required
