Automotive Technician/ Forman

Pit Stop is NZ's leading automotive repair franchise with over 45 stores nationwide. Our Botany Downs branch is seeking a reliable, honest and committed technician who can assist in managing our busy workshop. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work while taking responsibility for workshop organisation, team supervision, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical repairs, servicing, and diagnostics on a range of vehicles.
• Manage daily workflow within the workshop to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
• Supervise and support workshop staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
• Liaise with customers to explain repairs and provide updates on job progress.
• Assisting with Quoting, Invoicing and Parts ordering
• Ensure quality control and uphold high standards in all work completed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or workshop management role.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workflow.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Current driver's licence.

Must have an In-depth knowledge of automotive systems with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues, repairing electrical and electronic faults in cars and motor vehicles. An experience in exhaust system fabrication and welding is a plus.
