Theatre Administration Assistant | Wakefield Hospital

The Role

We're seeking an organised and proactive Theatre Administration Assistant to support the Theatre Services team. You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth theatre operations, accurate documentation, and effective communication across departments, helping our surgical teams deliver the highest standard of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check, input, and track booking forms for surgical lists
  • Liaise with consultants' personal assistants to confirm accurate bookings
  • Prepare daily list reminders and maintain the master copy book
  • Communicate with Reception and Billing to ensure correct invoicing codes
  • Support the efficient running of the theatre suite through daily admin tasks
  • Maintain theatre records, documentation systems, and staff contact lists
  • Collate and assess theatre audit data with required follow-up actions
  • Coordinate with Pre-Assessment, Billing, and Theatre teams to resolve queries

About You

You're an organised multitasker who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in accuracy and teamwork.

You'll bring:

  • Strong administrative experience (healthcare preferred)
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and confident learning new systems (e.g., WebPAS)
  • Collaborative, professional, and adaptable under pressure
