What we are looking for:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef to prepare tasty meals for hospital staff, based within the Dunedin Hospital Café. This is a full-time, fixed-term role to cover leave during the Christmas and New Year period for 5 weeks, with the possibility of extending the contract.

What will you be doing?

• Preparing, cooking, and serving quality menu items for hospital staffEstablishing and maintaining quality controlAssisting with ordering and menu developmentSupporting general kitchen and cleaning dutiesProviding cover for annual and sick leave (as and when required)

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Experience with Asian cuisine is a bonusHardworking, reliable, with a friendly and positive attitudeExperience working as a chef in a commercial kitchenHolds food safety certificates (Unit Standard 167 & 168) or willing to trainThrives under pressure and works well in a teamKnowledge of temperature procedures and ability to work to timeframesSuperior customer service skills and a passion for great food and quality
